Head coach Wesley Clarke retains the core of the group that represented the Turbos in 2025, with the majority of the squad either hailing from the region or having established strong ties to Manawatū rugby.
Among the key returning players is dynamic loose forward Brayden Iose, whose experience with the Hurricanes adds valuable quality to the forward pack, while midfielder Ngani Laumape brings proven class and leadership to the backline.
The Turbos also welcome back versatile playmaker Reece MacDonald after an impressive 2024 campaign before his stint overseas. Equally comfortable at first five-eighth or fullback, MacDonald's return adds another exciting attacking option.
English first five George Worboys joins the squad to bolster the playmaking stocks, while new loose forward Rory Woods and lock Angus Prouting are among the players set to make their mark in Turbos colours this season.
The forward pack features a solid blend of experience and youth, with Rob Harley, Joe Gavigan, Vernon Bason, Taine Roiri and Reuben Allen joined by emerging talent including Alani Fakava and Daigo Sasagawa.
In the backs, Laumape is complemented by the pace and versatility of MacDonald, Kyle Brown, James Tofa, Pena Va'a and Taniela Filimone, giving the Turbos a balanced group capable of creating opportunities across the park.
With another year under Clarke's leadership and a squad that has built continuity together, Manawatū will be looking to build on last season and challenge throughout the 2026 NPC campaign.
