Two Kiwi icons are celebrating 50 years together, with Toyota Hilux announced today as the new naming rights partner of the National Provincial Championship (NPC), Farah Palmer Cup (FPC) and Heartland Championship.

The partnership brings together two brands that have earned the trust of generations of New Zealanders through a deep connection to communities across the country, extending across New Zealand Rugby's three domestic competitions, for the 2026 season.

Fittingly, both the NPC and Hilux celebrate their 50th anniversaries in 2026, making the partnership a natural way to mark a significant chapter in the history of two Kiwi institutions.

New Zealand Rugby’s Chief Commercial Officer Chris Brown said the partnership is a perfect fit, bringing together two brands that have stood the test of time.

"Our domestic competitions represent the heartbeat of rugby in New Zealand, and we're incredibly pleased to welcome Hilux as the naming rights partner.

"Toyota has already become a valued member of the New Zealand Rugby whānau through its partnership with our national teams, and we're excited to build on that relationship with their support of the competitions that are the foundation of our game."

From provincial rugby clubs to farms, building sites and main streets, both the NPC and Hilux have become woven into the fabric of New Zealand life. For five decades they have been part of the stories, traditions and communities that bring Kiwis together, and this partnership reflects a shared commitment to backing New Zealanders wherever they are.

Toyota New Zealand Assistant Vice President - Marketing Sustainability & Technology, Susanne Hardy said the partnership marks an exciting new chapter in Toyota's relationship with New Zealand Rugby.

"Few brands and sporting competitions can say they've been part of New Zealand life for 50 years. Hilux and the NPC have both earned their place through generations of trust, loyalty and support from communities across the country.

"As we celebrate those milestones together in 2026, we're proud to see the Hilux name alongside competitions with such a rich history. It's an opportunity to honour what these competitions have contributed to New Zealand while helping support their future for the next generation of players and fans."

The Hilux NPC kicks off on 30 July with every match broadcast on SKY and TVNZ+. The Hilux Heartland Championship commences on 15 August, and the Farah Palmer Cup presented by Hilux then commences on 29 August. Fan can expect to see Hilux on the ground at select matches across the season with their branding on field markings and LED signage.
