The 28 year-old has spent the best part of the last two years on the sideline with injury but is very excited to make her long-awaited return to the game.

Woodman joined Jeff Wilson on Sky Sport’s show the Pod, where she spoke about the prospect of playing up north, where she was born and bred.

“I feel like I’m starting from scratch which is the exciting part. I’m hoping for Farah Palmer Cup to play for Northland, so that’s the new thing going back up home and playing with a new bunch of girls in a new sport that I haven’t played for three years.

“It’s going to be really cool. I have no expectations on myself because I don’t know where I’m at, at the moment. I’m just going to go and have a ball and see how we go.”
